Silent Auction and Bingo Night Needs You!
Johnson's most exciting night of the school year is nearly upon us--March 22 approaches.
There’s not an excessive amount of glamour in the week-to-week reality of PTO volunteering. Sure, there’s the quarterly Mid-Atlantic PTO Leadership Gala & Collaboration Festival, and the Annual Global PTO Influence Summit & Captaincy Conclave in Rotterdam, or the yearly Invitacional Fiesta de la PTO Cruise of the Mediterranean that PTO co-chair Laura jets off to every summer—but, generally speaking, our work here is more classroom supplies and snack supplementation than it is red carpets and bright European nights spent hobnobbing with the world’s most prestigious parent-teacher volunteer organizations.
That all changes at the end of the third week of March, though, because at the end of the third week of March, we have our Silent Auction and Bingo Night, and our glitz and glamour cup runneth over. This is both our biggest fundraiser and the most exciting school event of the year, and we need your help to make it our most fun and successful auction evening yet. This is a school-wide effort to raise money that is crucial to our ability to support the teachers and staff at Johnson in their mission to educate and care for our kids—and we can only make it happen with the enthusiastic support of you, our wonderful Johnson Elementary community.
One of the most popular series of items that goes up for auction every year are the grade baskets, this year being organized by large-baskets-full-of-cool-stuff-enthusiast Jess Whittaker. Click the Sign-Up button below to see what you can contribute to the themed collections this year, and just be sure to drop your donations off at the front office by March 18. You can also email Jessica Whittaker with any questions. Thanks!
Most important of all, we need some of your time. There is plenty of fun and chaos to be managed on auction night, and we can’t do it alone. Click the button below to sign up to help out in any way you can, whether it’s set-up or check-out or prize room duty, for as little or as long as you want. We are grateful for all the help we can get!
Finally, for now, the easiest of all asks—the social media follow-request. The Johnson PTO Instagram will be hyping our big night with sneak peeks at exciting auction items and bingo prizes in the lead-up to March 22, so give us a follow! Thanks again, and we’ll talk to you soon.
