It's Silent Auction & Bingo Night Week!
Friday Night at Johnson Elementary!
Bring the kids to play BINGO for FREE on Friday night, win fabulous prizes!
Silent Auction & Bingo Night, this Friday, March 14, 5:00 - 7:00 p.m.
It’s finally upon us—this Friday evening, come by Johnson Elementary and join us for our biggest fundraiser of the year! If you’d like to check out the catalog of items that will be up for bid this year ahead of time, just click the button below. Or, just show up Friday evening and be surprised and delighted, I guess. (No, click the button. Kenny works hard on that thing every year. Thanks, Kenny!)
You can register ahead of time for a bid number by filling out your contact information after clicking the button below. It will save you a couple of minutes on Friday night, so please do so if you have a moment. No worries if you don’t pre-register—you can do so when you get there, too. Each family only needs one bid number, but if multiple grown-ups in your household want to bid against one another, by all means, sign everybody up!
There’s Free Bingo, Too!
Of course, no Silent Auction would be complete without Wild and Chaotic Bingo taking place just a few feet away. Our prize room is going to be chock-full of all sorts of fun prizes for the kids to choose from—just look at the photo below! This is no AI-generated madness, this is an actual pile of potential bingo winnings!
Speaking of which, though, here is your now obligatory AI-generated leopard calling out bingo numbers. This is more or less exactly what you can expect to see when you enter the Johnson cafeteria on Friday evening.
Bingo is absolutely free to play, and the kids really love it. Be sure to come! And don’t forget, you can email Randi Jennings if a less noisy, more sensory-friendly bingo experience is preferable for your kid.
But how, precisely, does one Silent Auction? A beginner’s guide.
As you walk into the event, you’ll be able to register for a bid number. (If you pre-registered, just a quick check-in and you’ll be on your way.) Once you are assigned a bid number, you can browse the items that are up for bid, which will be set up on tables in the hallway. In front of each item is a bid sheet. If you are interested in bidding on the item, just write your bid number down on the sheet with the dollar amount you’re bidding. Easy!
But you’re not done! If you really want to win that item, circle back around in a few minutes, because someone may have come behind you and placed a higher bid. Now you can bid again—just write down your bid number, and place a bid that is higher than the most recent one on the sheet. Be sure to abide by the minimum bid listed on the sheet, and especially the minimum bid increases!
As the evening is drawing to a close, we will count down the final moments of the auction. If yours is the highest when bidding ends, you win! Huzzah! But don’t leave! Please proceed to the check out counter to pay for the items that you’ve won. Thanks!
Seriously, please come.
Even if you don’t want to bid on any of the Silent Auction items, this event is a lot of fun for everyone. The kids will be excited for the bingo, there’s a food truck out front if you want to buy dinner, and it’s just a great couple of hours at the school. Also, of course, there are plenty of fun things and experiences to bid on, and every single dollar raised goes directly into our mission of supporting the wonderful staff and teachers at Johnson in their mission of educating and caring for our kids. We hope to see you there.
See you Friday!
