Coffee with the Principal, this Friday at 8:00 a.m.
Meet Principal Mickens, enjoy a cup of coffee, participate in a grand tradition.
Did you know that Americans drink over 500 million cups of coffee every day? Two-thirds of us drink at least some of the stuff daily! Coffee, it seems, is very popular indeed.
The Johnson Elementary PTO would never presume to be a cultural trendsetter, of course, but the facts don’t lie: coffee has only gained in popularity in the years since we started our Coffee with the Principal tradition. Coincidence, perhaps, but who can say for sure?
Come join us on Johnson’s back porch, near the library, this Friday morning, August 25, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. to see what all the coffee fuss is about, and to meet and chat with Principal Mickens and other Johnson luminaries. We hope to see you there!
We’d also like to acknowledge that making conversation with new people can feel awkward or uncomfortable at times. With that in mind, we’ve consulted OpenAI’s ChatGPT for some helpful Dos and Don’ts for an event like this one.
DO welcome the new principal to the school and introduce yourself.
DO ask about Ms. Mickens’s educational philosophy and her vision for the school.
DON’T ask Assistant Principal Mr. Kronstain about his beard-moisturization routine.
DO ask if Ms. Rickabaugh shares that endless stash of candy and gum with all her colleagues, or plays favorites.
DON’T ask Ms. Mickens if she found anything weird that the former Principal Thompson left behind in the office.
We and the chat robots hope this has been helpful. See you tomorrow morning!
