Change Challenge Update #3
AND DOWN THE STRETCH THEY COME!
You’re just here for the chart. So here’s the chart.
As you can see, the first grade maintains a commanding lead going into the final two days of the 2023 Change Challenge. Over a thousand pennies were added to the first grade jug on Monday and Tuesday, and still they have a 40,000 point advantage. The fourth grade has surged into second place as they prepare for the endgame, but third grade is right on their heels. Second grade isn’t too far back, either, and shouldn’t be counted out.
The kindergarteners—look, they’re doing their best. And they’re all just so darn cute, it must be said.
Wednesday and Thursday are the last two days to put money in our jugs just inside the entrance of the school. Principal Mickens will announce the winning grade during morning announcements on Monday. Don’t forget that the winning grade gets an ice cream party and the privilege of making a human sundae out of Principal Mickens.
Can anyone catch the first grade? Will the fourth grade stage the most thrilling and improbable comeback in Change Challenge history? Only time and two more days of your generous donations will tell. Thanks as always!
And just a couple of quick reminders:
Our Krispy Kreme fundraiser is running for another twelve days. Order a dozen glazed donuts via this link, redeem at any Krispy Kreme, and the PTO gets half the money.
Randi Jennings is still recruiting volunteers to help get the Morning Movement program off the ground. We just need a handful of parents who can help out one or two mornings a week. Please email Randi at randi.dayton.jennings@gmail.com with available mornings or other questions.
The final two days of the Change Challenge fundraiser are not at all unlike the start of the fourth quarter of a college football game, except for all of the ways they are not at all the same, which is most of the ways. But the need for HYPE is the same, and in that spirit, enjoy Wisconsin’s Jump Around tradition, or Notre Dame’s 1812 Overture, or the Georgia Bulldogs playing the Krypton Fanfare. In any event, get those four fingers high in the air and let’s finish strong!
